Powerball Oregon – Oregon Powerball
The Oregon Lottery is 1 of 47 US State Lotteries & District Lotteries that offer the US Powerball game – in this case the Oregon Powerball – as part of its overall portfolio of lottery games.

Oregon Lottery Powerball – How it Works
The Oregon Powerball works in the same way as the Powerball game works in all the other States and Districts in the US that offer the game.
Jackpots start off at US$ 40 Million and ROLLOVER after each draw when the top prize is not won – increasing in size by at least US$ 10 Million each time – making for some enormous jackpot figures.
6 numbers are drawn in total for the Oregon Lottery Powerball game – from 2 separate drawing machines – first of all 5 numbers are drawn from 59 white balls are drawn followed by 1 number (the powerball) from 35 red balls.
Draws for the Oregon Lottery Powerball take place twice every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.59pm PST.

1. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 59 plus your 1 Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 35.

POWERPLAY…
For just an extra dollar – you can choose to increase your Oregon Lottery Powerball winnings on all levels except the jackpot – by adding the Powerball POWER PLAY option when playing the Oregon Powerball.

Oregon Lottery Powerball – Record Jackpots
The record Oregon Power Ball jackpot to date has been the incredible US$ 340 Million that was won in October 2005 by a family from Jacksonville.
The 2nd highest jackpot to be won on the Oregon Powerball happened in March 2007 when a man from Milwaukie won a massive US$ 182.7 Million jackpot.
Prior to this – the record Oregon Power Ball jackpot record was a healthy US$ 38.4 Million won in Eugene in 1992 with another notable jackpot being the US$ 33.8 Million winner from Beaverton in 1999.
Oregon Powerball – How Prizes are Paid
If you have won an Oregon Powerball jackpot – you will be able to claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment – you will need to make this choice within 60 days of validating your winning ticket.
If you choose the annuity option – your Oregon Lottery Powerball winnings will be paid to you in 30 installments over a 29 year period.
For winning any Powerball Oregon prizes – you will have up to 365 days from the date of the draw taking place – to make your claim before your Powerball ticket will become invalid.
If your win on the Powerball Oregon is up to US$ 600 – you will be able to claim your winnings at most OregonLottery retailers or by mail using a claim form.
If you’ve had a win of more than US$ 600 on the Powerball Oregon – you will need to claim your prize from the Oregon State Lottery office in Salem.
