"Toto Malaysia games from the Magnum Corp, Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai & Sabah 88"
Playing the lottery is an incredibly popular activity right throughout Malaysia where – the same as in Singapore – Malaysia Lottery games are primarily known as Toto and are comprised mainly of games of 3 Digits and 4 Digits.
These games are generally abbreviated to 3D and 4D and are collectively referred to as Toto Malaysia. They are very similar in structure to the highly popular games of Pick 3 and Pick 4 that are offered by the vast majority of USA Lottery companies.
There are 4 main Toto Malaysia companies that offer these games and they are the Magnum Corporation whose principal offering is the Magnum 4D, SportsToto where the most popular game is the Toto 4D, the Pan Malaysia Pools with a primary Toto called Da Ma Cai 1 3D and Lotto88 which offers both 3D & 4D games plus a more traditional 6 45 Malaysia Lottery called the Sabah Lotto.
Malaysia 4D games can trace their history as far back as 1951 when the very first unofficial Malaysia Toto games were offered which then became incredibly popular until the first official 4D Toto was introduced by the Singapore Turf Club in May 1966.
The Magnum Corporation began operations in 1969 as did Sports Toto, followed by the Pan Malaysia Pools and Sabah 88 in 1988.
We have written about these Toto Malaysia games in great detail elsewhere on the website so that you can learn just how they work and find out the best places to check the latest Malaysia Toto results. A complete list of all the major lottery games from around the globe can also be found on our World Lottery page.
In this section on Lottery Malaysia we aim to provide a brief overview on all the primary Malaysia Lottery games – you can then click through and read in depth about your favourite game...
One of the most popular Malaysia Lottery games is the Magnum 4D from the Magnum Corporation. The Magnum4D – or 4D Magnum – was first introduced in 1969 and is a standard 4 Digits game in the Toto Malaysia range. To play Magnum 4D you select a 4 Digit number from a number range of 0000 to 9999 and you win prizes up to RM 3,500 by matching one of the winning toto numbers drawn for the various 4D prize categories. Draws for the Magnum 4D are conducted by the Magnum Corp 3 times every week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7.00pm. There are also Special Draws that take place once or twice per month – these are normally on a Tuesday. The latest Magnum 4D result can be found by visiting the official website – magnum4d.com.my.
The 4D Jackpot from the Magnum Corporation was first launched in September 2009 as an exciting alternative to the Magnum 4D Classic game with the aim of offering much bigger jackpot prizes. You play Magnum 4D Jackpot in the same way as you play Magnum 4D Classic but instead use 2 sets of numbers. The Magnum 4D Jackpot top prize – Jackpot 1 – will rollover to the next draw when not won and the biggest 4D Jackpot win to date has been a huge RM 31,232,687.11 which was won in June 2011. The Magnum Corporation draw the 4D Jackpot each Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 7.00pm plus on 1 or 2 Special Draw days every month which are normally held on a Tuesday. You can go to magnum4d.com.my to see the latest 4D Jackpot results.
The Magnum Corporation held the first drawing of its most recent toto game – the 4D Jackpot GOLD – on November 8th 2014. With the 4D Jackpot GOLD – you play by first selecting 3 sets of 2 digit numbers between 00 and 99 – this is called the Trifecta Number. You then choose a single 2 digit number between 00 and 19 – known as the Golden Number. There are more prize categories than the 4D Jackpot game has with a total of 7 different ways of winning compared to 5. Just like the 4D Jackpot – the 4D Jackpot GOLD jackpot 1 prize will rollover if not won. Draw days are on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7.00pm plus 1 or 2 Special Draw days which tend to be held on 1 or 2 Tuesdays throughout each month.
The very widely played Toto 4D was launched back in 1969 by Sports Toto Malaysia and is as popular today as it was when it was first introduced. Just like the Magnum 4D – the 4D Toto from SportsToto works in the same way and you play using either 'Big' or 'Small' forecasts and you can win up to RM 3,500 by picking a 4 Digit number from 0000 to 9999 using the 'Small' forecast. There are a total of 5 different prize categories on the Sports Toto 4D and SportsToto Malaysia conduct the draws 3 times per week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays with Special Draws generally taking place on 2 Tuesdays each month. You can find the very latest Toto 4D result by going to the Malaysia Sports Toto website – sportstoto.com.my.
Sports Toto Malaysia introduced the Toto 4D Jackpot in June 2011 to compliment its existing 4D Toto game and with the aim of offering Malaysia Lottery players the chance of winning much larger prizes. As with the Magnum 4D Jackpot – the Toto 4D Jackpot is played by selecting 2 sets of 4 Digit numbers from the number range of 0000 to 9999. There is no limit to how big the Sports Toto 4D Jackpot can grow to – it will rollover and increase in size for each draw where no Jackpot 1 prize winner is produced. The 4D Toto jackpot starts off at RM 2 MILLION and the biggest Jackpot 1 prize won so far on the Toto 4D Jackpot has been a massive RM 27,065,269 won in November 2013. As with the standard 4D Toto – Malaysia Sports Toto draw the Toto 4D Jackpot every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with up to 2 Special Drawings also occuring monthly. The 4D Jackot results can be found by visiting the official website of Sports Toto Malaysia – sportstoto.com.my.
Toto 5D is another Toto Malaysia game offered by Sports Toto Malaysia and is a variant of their well known Toto4D. The differences are that when playing Toto 5D – you need to select a 5 Digit number from a 00000 to 99999 number range and there are no 'Big' or 'Small' forecasts. The 1st prize on the Toto 5D is RM 15,000 and there are 6 prize categories that you can win from. Sports Toto Malaysia make the draw for the Toto 5D every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday plus on certain Tuesdays each month when there are Special Draws held.
The largest of the standard Toto games offered by Sports Toto Malaysia is the Toto 6D. With the Toto 6D – you pick a 6 Digit number out of a 000000 to 999999 number range and if you choose the winning 6 Digit number drawn you will win the 1st Prize of RM 100,000. There are 5 prize levels to win from and – unlike the Toto 4D and Toto 5D – only 1 winning toto number is drawn with the remaining 4 prize categories being determined using selected digits from that number. As with the Toto 5D – there are no 'Big' or 'Small' forecasts and the Toto 6D is also drawn on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays every week with a Special Draw being held on selected Tuesdays.
The Mega Toto 6 52 is a standard jackpot style lottery launched in June 2007 by Sports Toto Malaysia and works in the same way as most European Lottery and USA Lottery games. Players pick 6 numbers from a 1 to 52 number range and matching all 6 of the main numbers wins the Mega Toto jackpot prize. This Toto Lotto has a jackpot that grows when it is not won and with no limit to how big it can get – the biggest Mega Toto jackpot won to date has been RM 20,964,143 which was won in December 2008. The jackpot begins at a minimum of RM 2 MILLION and a cascading feature kicks in when the top prize reaches RM 20 MILLION. There are 5 prize categories and as with the other games from Sports Toto Malaysia – the Mega Toto 652 is drawn Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays with 2 Special Tuesday monthly Draws.
Sports Toto Malaysia added a further game to their growing Toto Lotto portfolio in October 2009 – the Power Toto 6 55. Designed to offer even bigger jackpots with slightlly more difficult odds of winning due to the higher guess range – the Power Toto has a jackpot that starts off at a minimum RM 3 MILLION and has produced a record jackpot so far of RM 41,443,418.80 in September 2012. Players need to select 6 numbers from a guess range of 1 to 55 to win from one of the 4 prize categories and – like Mega Toto – the jackpot grows or snowballs onto the next draw when it is not won. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays are also the draw days for the Power Toto Malaysia with 2 Special Draws every month on Tuesdays.
The 3rd Toto Lotto to be introduced by Sports Toto Malaysia – the Supreme Toto 6 58 held its first draw in March 2010. As its name suggests it is designed to offer the biggest Malaysia Lottery jackpots of all and because of the wider range of numbers needed to choose from it offers the hardest odds of winning. These larger jackpots make it a very attractive game though and with a starting jackpot of a minmum of RM 8.88 MILLION and a highest Supreme Toto jackpot to date of RM 57,180,496.00 won in January 2012 – the Supreme Toto holds the record for producing the biggest Malaysia Lottery jackpot in history so far. A number range of 1 to 58 is used from which to choose your 6 numbers and there are 4 prize levels. Draws for the Supreme Toto Malaysia take place weekly on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with a Tuesday Special Draw twice a month.
The DaMaCai 1 3D was first introduced by the Pan Malaysia Pools in 1988 and has remained one of its most popular Malaysia Lottery games to date. It is the Da Ma Cai version of a standard Malaysia Toto 4D game and operates just like the other 4D Toto games available. Also known as the DaMaCai 4D, the Da Ma Cai 4D and the PMP 4D – the DaMaCai 1 3D is played by picking a 4 Digit number from a number range of 0000 to 9999 with a bet type of either 'Big' or 'Small'. Playing with the 'Big' bet type offers more chances of winning but with lower prizes whereas playing with the 'Small' bet type has higher prizes but a lower range of prizes to be won. 1 3D draws are held by DaMaCai on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays each week with Special Draws occurring on selected Tuesdays each month. You can check the latest Da Ma Cai result at the official website – damacai.com.my.
The DMC 3D is another of the original Toto games from Da Ma Cai and the Pan Malaysia Pools and was also launched back in 1988. It works in much the same way as the more common Toto Malaysia 4D games but DaMaCai 3D players must select a 3 Digit number from 000 to 999. You play using a bet type of either 'Big' – which has 3 winning numbers to match – or 'Small' which has just 1 winnng number to match but offers a bigger prize to win. The winning DMC 3D numbers are based on the last 3 digits of the winning 1 3D numbers and so the draw times of the 3D PMP and availability of the 3D results are the same as the 1 3D above.
In November 2012 – the Pan Malaysia Pools and DaMaCai introduced a Jackpot version of their widely played 1 3D game. The aim was to offer players much bigger jackpots which it has not failed to deliver – with the record 1 3D jackpot won to date being a huge RM 30,206,192.80 won in December 2013. Playing the Da Ma Cai 1 3D Jackpot invloves selecting a pair of 4 Digit numbers from the number range of 0000 to 9999 to create your own 1 3D Jackpot number. There are 5 different prize levels and the winning numbers are based on the winning numbers drawn in the standard 1 3D game. The minimum 1st prize to be won is RM 2 MILLION and there is no limit to how big this can grow to as it will rollover onto the next draw if it is not won. The 1 3D Jackpot result can be found in the same way as the DMC 3D result and other DaMaCai results with the 1 3D Jackpot draw time being identical to those above.
Another jackpot variation was launched by the Pan Malaysia Pools in March 2013 of the DMC 3D – the 3D Jackpot – offering players a further game with a top prize that will rollover when not won and with no upper limit. The DMC 3D Jackpot 1st prize is always a minimum of RM 600,000 and a record is waiting to be set as at the time of writing in March 2015 – the 3D Jackpot top prize stands at over RM 1.2 MILLION and is just waiting to be won. To play the DMC 3D Jackpot you have to choose 3 sets of 3 Digit numbers from the number range of 000 to 999 and the winning numbers are based on the 3D results for the same drawing. There are 3 categories of prizes to be won and the 3D jackpot results are also published on the official Da Ma Cai website on the same DMC draw days as the Pan Malaysia Pools games already mentioned.
A more recent game introduced by the Pan Malaysia Pools is the DaMaCai Jackpot which was first drawn in Janaury 2014. The DMC Jackpot is designed to produce huge prizes and has a top prize that starts off at a minimum of RM 1.8 MILLION which will rollover if not won – and there is no limit to how big it can grow to. Currently – as of March 2015 – the Da Ma Cai Jackpot 1st prize is more than RM 12 MILLION and when someone chooses the correct winning numbers they will win a record prize for the game. DaMaCai Jackpot players must pick one 1 3D number followed by one 3D number – that is a 4 Digit number and then a 3 Digit number. There are 6 different ways to win and the DMC Jackpot winning numbers are based on the 1 3D results and 3D results. Just check the DaMaCai website for the latest DaMaCai Jackpot result.
The latest game launched by the Pan Malaysia Pools is the Super 1 3D which is a variant of the original DaMaCai 1 3D being drawn in November 2014 for the first time. The same as when playing the 1 3D – you need to choose a 4 Digit number from 0000 to 9999 – but the difference with the Super 1 3D is that you will also need to pick a prize category to go with your number and there are no 'Big' or 'Small' bet types to choose from. The top prize to be won on the Super 1 3D is RM 6,500 and results are based on those of the standard 1 3D game. You win by matching the 4 Digit number in the exact order in which it was drawn in your chosen prize category. There are a total of 7 prize categories from which you can win on the Super 1 3D. As with the other DaMaCai games – you can find the latest Super 1 3D Da Ma Cai result via the official website where they will be published on the same weekly draw days of Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and certain Tuesdays.
The final major Lottery Malaysia company to include here is Lotto88 from the Lotteries Corporation. As well as Malaysia Toto games – mentioned below – Lotto88 offers a typical jackpot type Malaysia Lottery called the Sabah Lotto. The popular Sabah Lotto 88 was revised in January 2003 to the current 6/45 version and has a jackpot which commences at a minimum of RM 500,000 and will rollover if not won – there is no limit to how big the Sabah Lotto jackpot can grow. The record Sabah Lotto jackpot win to date has been RM 2,322,348.73 won in May 2013. The Lotteries Corporation make the draw for the Sabah 88 Lotto 3 times per week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7.05pm as well as holding a Special Draw once or twice per month on a Tuesday. The Sabah Lotto results can be found via the official website of Lotto88 – lotto88.com – which was launched by the Lotteries Corporation in May 2002.
Lotto88 alongside Da Ma Cai – the Pan Malaysia Pools – are the only other company that also offers a 3 Digits game. The Sabah 3D Malaysia Toto is played in the same way as the DMC 3D. A 3 Digit toto number is selected from the 000 to 999 number range but unlike the 3D PMP – you are not playing with 'Big' or 'Small' bets. The 1st prize winning number is based on the 1st 3 Digits of the corresponding 88 4D winning number for that draw date. The top prize to be won on the Sabah 88 3D is RM 500 and draws occur every week on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday along with 2 Special Draws that take place once or twice a month on a Tuesday. The 3D results are displayed after every draw on lotto88.com – the Sabah 88 official website.
The most popular game in the Sabah 88 portfolio has to be the 88 4D – otherwise known as the 4D88, the Sabah 88 4D, the Sabah 4D or the 4D 88. Another great Toto Malaysia game – the 4D88 is a standard Malaysia 4D game that works in the same way as the Magnum 4D, Sports Toto 4D and the DaMaCai 1 3D. You select a 4 Digit number out of the number range 0000 to 9999 and play with either a 'Big' or 'Small' bet. The biggest prize that can be won is RM 3,500 by playing with the 'Small' bet type. As with all the other Toto Malaysia games – draws for the 88 4D are conducted 3 times each week on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, with a Special Draw that is held either 1 or 2 times every month generally on a Tuesday. Just visit the Sabah 88 website – lotto88.com – for the very latest 88 4D results.
