Connecticut Powerball Powerball CT

The Connecticut Lottery is 1 of 47 US State Lotteries & District Lotteries that offer the Powerball game – in this case the CT Powerball – as part of its overall portfolio of lottery games.

Powerball is a Multi-State USA Lottery that is run and operated by the MUSL – Multi State Lottery Association and is one of the largest lottery games on the planet – having created the biggest jackpot ever in the world of lotto games on January 13th 2016 with an absolutely unbelievable US$ 1.586 BILLION top prize – absolutely shattering the existing Mega Millions record jackpot of US$ 656 Million from March 2012.

The very first Powerball draw took place on April 22nd 1992 with 16 USA Lottery companies – who were all members of the MUSL – taking part when the game changed its format and name from Lotto America which began on February 13th 1988.

The CT Powerball itself first began operations back on November 28th 1995 when the Connecticut Lottery became the 21st member of the MUSL – Multi State Lottery Association – who run and syndicate the game across the majority of the USA.

CT Powerball How it Works

The Connecticut Powerball works in the same way as the Powerball game works in all the States and Districts in the US that offer the game.

Jackpots start off at US$ 40 Million and rollover after each draw when the top prize is not won – increasing in size each time by at least US$ 10 Millionmaking for some enormous jackpot figures.

6 numbers are drawn in total for the CT Powerball game from 2 separate drawing machines – firstly 5 numbers from 69 white balls are drawn and then 1 number (the powerball) from 26 red balls.

Draws for the Connecticut Lottery Powerball take place twice every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10.59pm EST.

There is also a Powerball prize multiplier facility available when playing that dramatically increases the size of a Powerball win and is called Powerball POWERPLAY...

The Powerball POWERPLAY option is a prize multiplier and will automatically increase the Powerball win by up to 10 times the original amount – and is there to give players of the Connecticut Powerball a chance to increase their winnings on all levels of the prize structure apart from the CT Powerball jackpot itself.

Playing with the Powerball POWER PLAY option – you are easily able to multiply your winnings on these levels by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and even up to 10x when the jackpot is less than US$ 150 Milliongreatly increasing the amount you will take home.

Whatever Powerball Power Play number has been drawnant Powerball non-jackpot 2nd prize win of US$ 1 Million will automatically be doubled to US$ 2 Million if you have played the CT Powerball using this Powerball POWERPLAY facility.

CT Powerball How to Play

The aim when playing is to correctly select as many Powerball winning numbers as possible – and with 9 different ways in which you can win on the Connecticut Lottery Powerball – you have a great chance of winning a prize.

There are generally 4 ways that you can play the CT Powerball

1. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 69 plus your 1 Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 26.

2. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 69 and use the Powerball Quick Pick option to let the computer choose your Power Ball (red ball) number for you from 1 to 26 – using a computer powered random number generator.

3. Use the Powerball Quick Pick option to let the computer pick for you your 5 main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 69 using a random number generator – and then pick your own Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 26.

4. Use the Powerball Quick Pick option to allow the computer choose both your 5 main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 69 and your 1 Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 26 using its random number generator.

You can use any of these methods whether you are playing the Connecticut Powerball in-state or if you Play Powerball Online with an authorized online lottery ticket sales company such as TheLotter.

If you are lucky enough to match all 5 of the main Powerball winning numbers the POWERPLAY multiplier will immediately double your US$ 1 Million 2nd prize to US$ 2 MILLION.

See the table further on down the page for full details of the extra winnings you can achieve with the CT Lottery Powerball POWERPLAY.
